                    "The world is now more concerned than ever before about the environment and its present degradation caused mainly due to the increased human activities.  Earlier we were small in numbers, satisfying our limited needs that was easily met by nature.  Now we are growing big, the needs are more, but the resources are getting limited and may soon be exhausted completely.

                     We are also now faced with the most grave problem for the Planet Earth which is Global Warming and consequent climate change.  It has far-reaching implications on food production, fresh water supply and health.  The coast lines will feel the direct impact of rising sea levels, excessive rains, floods etc.  Though everyone is going to be affected, the poor people will suffer more.

                     It has therefore become our bounden duty to check the slide to the worst now itself before it is too late.  In this endeavour, every one will have to participate, as many small steps will lead to big results.  There are two things, which every one can do - use the energy derived from fossil fuels as efficiently as possible and prefer to use the other alternative sources of Solar, Wind Bio and Hydro which are also called Renewable Energy sources, as they alone can sustain this World for long, long years to come."
